Mortgage broker in Saint-Lin–Laurentides

First home, young family, a project on the horizon: I help you buy in Saint-Lin–Laurentides and the surrounding towns, at no cost to you.

Soon to be my home too

I'm moving to Saint-Lin–Laurentides in the coming months. So this won't be one more area on a map: it will be home.

I work mostly with first-time buyers and families. Borrowing capacity, down payment, welcome tax: we go through all of it together, at your pace, and no question is a silly one.

A town that's growing fast

Saint-Lin–Laurentides grew from 20,786 residents in 2016 to 24,030 in 2021, up 15.6% in five years (Statistics Canada, 2021 census). The town now counts more than 25,000, and many newcomers are buying their first home there.

The welcome tax in Saint-Lin–Laurentides

The town uses the provincial 2026 brackets, plus a 3% rate on the portion above $500,000. It's calculated on the higher of the price paid and the municipal assessment multiplied by 1.05 (the 2026 factor).

2026 brackets

$0 – $62,900 0.5%
$62,900 – $315,000 1%
$315,000 – $500,000 1.5%
Over $500,000 3%

First-time buyer? Quebec refunds most of it

Since January 1, 2026, a refundable tax credit covers 100% of the first $5,000 of welcome tax, plus 25% of the next $3,500, up to $5,875. It shrinks above $750,000 and disappears at $1,000,000.
